Booubyjan Homestead is a unique example of a very early pioneer dwelling comprised of slab and shingle buildings which have been continuously owned and occupied by the Lawless Family since 1847.

Heritage-listed Booubyjan Homestead is on the register of the Australian Heritage Commission, the National Trust of Queensland and the Queensland Heritage Act 1992.
